EPPA's new incorporations reinforcing its Sustainability and Circular Economy practice

EPPA is proud to announce four new incorporations reinforcing its Sustainability and Circular Economy practice.

Since 1987 EPPA has sought to improve collaboration between business, governments, and the EU institutions with an effective and constructive dialogue which serves them all and most especially the European general interest. This unique approach has made EPPA the most experienced EU affairs consultancy today in Brussels.

In times of fundamental transformation of the European Union, EPPA believes in the need to constantly look to the future with a resilient strategy which ensures the future of our company and maintains that leadership in the sector. EPPA´s objective has remained untouched over three decades: bringing business, governments, and society innovative ways of collaboration seeking the maximum benefit for society.

In this spirit, EPPA has evolved in parallel to the European Union, advancing and shaping its major policy drivers, and is proud to announce today the enlargement of its team to reinforce the cross-sectorial Sustainability practice of the firm.

  • Isabel de Castro joins EPPA´s leadership as ASSOCIATE PARTNER. With over 10 years’ experience in Public and Corporate Affairs in Brussels, Isabel joins EPPA in 2021 to lead the firm´s practice in the field of sustainability, helping corporations and trade associations to contribute constructively to policy making, including in circular economy, corporate sustainability and natural resources management. She is specialized in thought leadership, coalition building and foresight approach towards emerging policy and legislative proposals.

  • Heinz Christmann joins EPPA as SENIOR ADVISOR. Over a period of more than 30 years he has been involved extensively in a diverse range of sectors and has covered applications ranging from medical devices to automotive and textile and others. Heinz has a broad experience in Fluorochemicals and their uses from a user as well as a manufacturer side.He has represented industry during various regulatory processes and thereby has gained hands on experience on dealing with politicians, regulators and NGOs.

  • Giulia Cosenza joins EPPA as SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER to assist clients mainly in the food, textile and chemical sectors, as well as to further diversify and develop the organization’s expertise in the field of sustainability from a government relations and political perspective. Before joining EPPA, Giulia has been working in the European Parliament and in the private sector advising clients in the food and consumer goods sectors as well in the sustainability area, focusing on chemical, food and agricultural policies.

  • Carlos Sokol-Szahin joins EPPA as SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER to assist clients in the areas of sustainability and climate, as well as to support EPPA´s clients in obtaining EU funding in strategic areas of the economy. Prior to EPPA, Carlos developed his professional career in both public and private organisations, mainly providing strategic advice on public and government strategies in the areas of circular economy, waste and energy. Over the years Carlos has developed a solid understanding of EU funding instruments, helping clients navigate successfully the always-intricate waters of this policy domain.
