Besides our work for individual clients, we occasionally organise small lunch meetings with a senior decision maker for our clients and friends.
On 2 June 2015 we welcomed Pierre Delsaux, Deputy Director General DG Grow. He gave an insight in the policy priorities of the new DG Grow, which combines the former DGs Enterprise and Market, and thus facilitates policy coherence, which is also enhanced by the role of the Vice-Presidents.
The focus is on stimulating economic growth through a variety of priorities, such as the completion of the Single and the Digital Market, using public procurement to promote innovation, better standardization processes, an Energy Union, supporting the manufacturing basis in Europe, and of course better regulation. Carefully crafted inputs from industry would be helpful, this was but one of the conclusions of a lively debate.
