Andrew graduated in Geography from University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1988; he was a Stagiaire with the European Commission in DG XIII (Telecoms and Information Society) in 1989 and then went to New York where he worked in publishing until 1992. Andrew joined EPPA's Brussels office in 1992 where he was working on media and transport issues. In 1994, Andrew moved to EPPA UK where he has continued to specialize in EU transport and media issues but additionally manages UK public affairs programmes, the interaction between EU and UK policy development and pan-European campaigns for clients. |

Mark Christian - Director/IT Manager | ||
Mark is a Systems Consultant with extensive experience in business systems analysis, project management, local area networking, network design and operation, wide area networks and communications, PCs, mini- and mid-range systems management and operation. He has been ICT Manager and Consultant at EPPA since 1989. Recent projects include extranets for client projects and public web sites. Mark previously worked for Rank Xerox UK as a document systems analyst. He was formerly a Director of Headstart Computer Services Ltd, a company specialising in providing ICT services to SMEs.

Deborah Hurst - ICT Content and Events Management | ||
Deborah provides a wide variety of client and ICT support functions. She manages the content on client intranets and websites, as well as organising events and conferences. She assists with the running of our local and wide area network communications, and is responsible for clients and associates' IT needs. Deborah worked formerly at British Telecommunications Corporate Headquarters as an Information Technology Training and Recruitment Manager. She qualified as an Information Technology Teacher and taught various students e.g.: Visually Impaired, ESOL (English as a Second Language), Government Job Seekers and Basic Skills. She also supported NVQ students with career advice and guidance.

| John Rietbroek, Senior Adviser, Technology, Media and Communications Between 1993 and 1998 Mr Rietbroek was an official with the European Commission. He served as a Principal Counsellor to the Directorate-General and Commissioner responsible for telecommunications and postal services. Mr Rietbroek was specially responsible for postal services and for relations between the telecommunications and audio-visual sector, application of Community legislation, standardisation, and pan-European telecommunications networks. Prior to joining the European Commission he was Director Telecommunications and Postal Policy of the Dutch Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management from 1988 to 1993. During that period Mr Rietbroek represented the Dutch Government in the activities of the European Commission and assisted the Dutch Minister for Telecommunications in the European Union Telecommunications Council Meetings. He also participated as representative of the Dutch government in the activities of the International Telecommunication Union, the Universal Postal Union and the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations(CEPT). Prior to this assignment, Mr Rietbroek was Project Manager Privatisation PTT Netherlands between 1986-1988 dealing with issues like drafting new laws for telecommunications and post, universal service obligations and government instruments to supervise, shareholders position, new financial framework, separation of pension fund, new regulatory authority, new consultative body. John Rietbroek is currently an expert adviser to the European Commission on the Framework Programme for Research (FP6-7) David Grayson The Financial Times has described him as "one of the UK's most respected voices on business social responsibility." David is a Director of Business in the Community UK and sits on a variety of academic, business and advocacy boards. Previously David was Chairman of the UK's National Disability Council, a Director of The Prince of Wales Innovation Award; and joint MD of the Prince's Youth Business Trust.
Chris Elliott is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, a Member
of Gray's Inn, a visiting professor of the principles of engineering design
at the University of Bristol and a Chartered Electrical and Aeronautical
Engineer.
